BOB COLVIN MEMORIAL
GOLF TOURNAMENT – July 23, 2016
Belmont Golf Course in Langley was the site of the Bob Colvin Memorial Golf Tournament again this year and once again we had a great day for golf. The weather was cloudy with sunny periods and a slight breeze to even out the warm temperature. A special Thank You goes out to the staff at Belmont for all their help and the chefs once again prepared a fantastic steak dinner after the tournament. Many of the players this year were repeats from the last year which goes to show what a great time everyone has at these events.
This year’s closest to the pin holes were #3 and #14 which were won by Matt Bell and Dave Sirirat respectively. The longest drive holes were #6 and #13 which were won by Shawn Halford and Roger Daluro respectively. The winners of the tournament with a score of 68 this year were once again Hugh Gordon and Mark Generoux, who each took home a Local 280 Golf Bag.
Door prizes this year were provided by MNP, SMACNA-BC, Austin Metal and Ridge Sheet Metal.
On behalf of our Business Manager-Financial Secretary Treasurer Jim Paquette, Assistant Business Manager Dan Burroughs as well as Business Representative Ken Elworthy and myself, Richard Mangelsdorf, we would like to thank all of those that helped us with prizes and everyone for coming out and hitting the links with our Local 280 Brothers.
We hope to see you all again next year.
