GOLF 2011
SATURDAY - July 23, 2011

Once again the Local Union No 280 Golf Tournament was held at the Belmont Golf Course in Langley, B.C.  After the poor weather that has been plaguing the lower mainland, on Saturday July 23rd it was a beautiful day for the tournament.

The staff at Belmont had the course in fine shape for the members and guests who showed up and those who had registered but did not show, they missed a very good time.  The day finished off with a fabulous steak dinner and a great desert table.

After the dinner, awards were handed out to those in attendance for Low Gross, Closest to the Pin's and Long Drive's.  On the 8th hole Ryan Hannela was Closest to the Pin, and  on the picturesque 14th hole -  retired roofer Gerry Allain was also Closest to the Pin.

The Long Drive awards went to Hugh Gordon of Austin Metal Fabricators on the 9th hole and to Mike Durant on the 15th hole.

The winner of the Low Gross 2 person team were Will Broyles and Mike Durant who shot a combined score of 70, which tied with Hugh Gordon of Austin Metal Fabricators and his guest Mark Grenereau who also shot a 70.  The tie was broken with "Regressive Scoring".

Their generous donations went a long way towards the days ultimate success.
